We offer a comprehensive service from physiotherapy to surgery
Once we have diagnosed your problem we are able to plan further management. The first option is to try non-surgical (conservative) treatments. This may involve physiotherapy – with exercise/stretching programmes; it may involve podiatry – with orthotics (insoles) and taping.
If these have been tried before, or are unsuccessful, we may use injections to help treat and further diagnose the problem.
Following a consultation with one of our surgeons, a decision is made to try conservative treatment (such as injections, podiatry or physiotherapy) or to proceed with surgery to treat the problem.
The majority of foot and ankle surgery can be carried out as a day case or overnight stay in hospital. Some more complex surgery may require a slightly longer stay – this will all be discussed prior to any surgery taking place.
